Where will you be working?
Rev Worldwide, Inc Corporate Headquarters (Austin, TX)
How did you go about getting your full-time offer?
I did a rotational internship program. I started off as a Customer Support Intern understanding the different aspects of our products and the respective customer segments. Then four months later I transitioned to the finance department as a Corporate Finance Intern.
During my finance internship I took every opportunity to learn new things and contribute as much as possible. I always focused on creating projects that could benefit the company and also align with my interests. The three major steps I took to land a full-time job at Rev WW: establish interdepartmental networking, create customized projects, and absorb the company culture.
What skills do you think were the most important for you to get your job? Efficiency, creativity, entrepreneurship, dedication, and enthusiasm.
What was the interview process like?
It was a two-step interview process. The first step was a phone interview. Based on that interview I was invited for a face-to-face interview. The second interview was relaxed and straight forward. If you are looking to interview for a position at Rev WW, make sure to stand out as that will be a leading factor to being considered for employment!
What classes do you think will be the most valuable to doing your job?
Entrepreneurial Finance (FIN 374S), Strategic Change and Innovation (MAN 337), and Intermediate Financial Accounting (ACC 326)
What advice do you have for people who are on their career search?
Network, and always demonstrate what and how you are able to contribute. Also, very important, don’t limit your search to a field in your major, also consider your interests and future goals. It is crucial to have a goal and a plan on how to get there.
