Where are you interning? The Coca-Cola Company, as Product Supply Summer Associate, the location has yet to be announced.
How did you go about getting your internship? What steps did you take? I applied on OCR, expressed my interest in an email to the HR manager, went to an information session, and then interviewed twice with the company.
What classes do you think were the most valuable in getting your internship?Intro to Operations Management with Professor Hasler during studying abroad in Hong Kong, and Strategic Operations Management with Professor Lai.
What advice would you give to others as they search for an internship? Apply to a broad spectrum of positions, be persistent, and never think that a position or company is out of reach.
Can you describe how your interview went? After applying on OCR, I was invited to an information session with an interview scheduled the next day. The interview was behavioral and technical with a plant manager and the HR manager. Several days later, I was notified I was invited to Atlanta for a final round interview with The Coca-Cola Product Supply Team.
What were the hardest questions they asked in your interview? During the technical interview I was asked whether or not Coca-Cola should purchase their own trucks or use a third party logistics firm using a series of calculations and make suggestions to the company. Furthermore, in Atlanta, I was asked to champion the phrase “Communicates Effectively” in a group presentation.
