Where are you interning?
How did you go about getting your internship? What steps did you take?
Realizing my junior year had arrived, I knew it was time for me to be more involved with BBA Career Services. I attended every networking event I could. Also, it was helpful taking only 12 hours of class so I could enjoy the process and find the balance of networking and earning a good GPA. The event where I met GM associates was at the BBA Women’s Council Breakfast Forum. It was a great and relaxed event where we learned what each company was passionate about. A month later, GM called to set up an interview.
What classes do you think were the most valuable in getting your internship?
I enjoyed the challenge and professionalism BA324 offered. Prof Starnes really cared about the details of our individual work and succeeded in giving us precise advice on our professional speeches.
What advice would you give to others as they search for an internship?
Enjoy it as much as you can and know yourself before you meet companies.
Can you describe how your interview went?
The one-hour interview seemed short as it flowed into a conversation. I was asked about different topics, including class projects and the reason behind choosing my major.
What were the hardest questions they asked in your interview?
I don’t remember the exact question, but it was about solving a problem you were stuck on.
