CDP is a 6 –month long business-to-business sales training program that prepares confident, hardworking, and driven individuals to earn the title of Account Manager at Dow. The training starts in June at Dow’s global headquarters, in Midland, MI; the best time of the year to be in Pure Michigan. This competitive training program includes practicing and testing your listening, communication, presentation, persuasion, and selling skills to be a successful solution provider for Dow’s customers. Additionally, you are partnered with a Dow global business segment on a sales/marketing project to learn and apply these skills in the world of petrochemical sales. During the program, you will network with Dow leadership, and shadow experienced Dow sellers for early career mentoring. Upon finishing this leading edge marketing and sales assignment, you will be placed as an Account Manager in a Dow business (located nationwide) that fits your skill set, knowledge and passion.

An Account Manager is responsible for growing the existing business as well as developing new business through strategically integrating Dow’s business goals and customer’s solution requirements. This role will take you all over the US with a variety of experiences in sales, engineering and marketing. In this role, I have had the unique opportunity to connect chemistry, market knowledge and my professional skill set to bring value to Dow and to Dow’s customers.

You can enjoy a long, prosperous career at Dow as an Account Manager, with flexible schedule and a large network of resources. You will be one of the most valuable assets to Dow as you are the customer spokesperson for global market facing business segments. After several years, if you want to try a different role, Account Management will open up many doors to move into other areas in Dow such as Asset Management, Market Analysis, Purchasing, Supply chain, Business Management or Operations.
