Please tell us about your career path and how you found your way to Target.
I interviewed with Target during the fall of my senior year at UT. I knew that Target was definitely somewhere that I loved to shop, so I did some research, attended a few info sessions, and realized that it was also a great company to work for! During the interview process, I visited the regional HQ in Dallas and I was able to be involved in a store tour, meet with senior leadership, and interact with a group of recent grads who were just starting their career with Target. The experience was awesome and I was thrilled when I received an offer for an Executive Team Leader position and would start after graduation. Since starting with Target over 6 years ago, I have held various positions in store management, campus recruiting, and HR, and am excited to continue growing and promoting within the company.
What do you like about working for Target?

What does the Executive Team Leader job entail?
The Executive Team Leader (ETL) position is Target’s entry-level management position and is similar to an assistant store manager role. As an ETL, you are responsible for the managing large and diverse teams and leading a culture where team members feel valued, respected, and enjoy what they do.
What skills make a person successful in this position?

Do your research and be open minded to all of the career options that are out there. Take advantage of internship opportunities (Target offers a great paid internship during the summer!), info sessions, and company networking events to get an idea of what is out there and where your passion lies.
