Top Three Tips for Video Interviews: A Student Perspective

1. Practice answering generic behavioral interview questions on your Photo Booth app – the hardest part of the interview is the awkwardness of watching yourself throughout the process! Check out BBA Career Services Interviewing Techniques Guide.

2. Before the interview day, go through your resume and bullet point the important actions taken, lessons learned, major events, etc. that you might plug into a question during the interview. Printing out a resume “cheat sheet” to have next to you during the interview is a great resource for small reminders along the way.

3. Make sure the lighting, sound, and look of your image is right where you want it so no adjustments are needed during the recording. If applicable, take full advantage of the one practice question you will be given before starting the interview.
