Throughout my educational career at UT, I realized how many resources students have to set themselves up for a career at the right company and the right industry. Graduating from the Moody College of Communication, I was exposed to tools inside and outside the classroom that prepared me for life after graduation. The Business Foundations program provided me with insights in Sales, Marketing, and Analytics. Paired with my communications coursework, I learned how to present this complex business information in a way for all audiences to understand and act upon. Career Services pointed me toward internships that aligned with what I was seeing in the classroom, and allowed me to see real business practices in action. Armed with these experiences, and my desire to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and industry-leading organization, I applied for a position at Polaris Industries.

In my current role as a Regional Sales Associate, I call on a group of dealers across the Midwest. I analyze market trends to put product in the hands of dealers at the right time, and set up marketing plans to make sure they’re prepared to retail during the busiest times of the year. I’ve received cross functional exposure and worked with many departments in my role, which has set me up to pursue a variety career paths within the company.
Polaris offers many different opportunities for internships and full time positions. This year, we have summer internships in our Sales and Marketing Development Program (SMLDP), which are designed to build a solid foundation of business skills, provide broad exposure to key business leaders and work on meaningful, high visibility projects that impact our business.
